Concert programme
Since 2019, the European Hanseatic Ensemble has been inviting over 50 young musicians from all over Europe to its Lübeck masterclasses every September to discover the musical heritage of the old Hanseatic cities with them. The final concert of the four-day course will be open to the public for the second time and can be experienced as part of the evening programme of the Buxtehude Days.
The young talents were selected out of over 100 applications and work in individual lessons, small ensembles and large ensembles on a vocal-instrumental repertoire that shaped the Northern European cultural landscape many years ago and fascinates the course participants anew every year. At the Buxtehude Days concert, they present the results of their intensive work.
Masterclasses and the workshop concert are part of the EU-funded project YTHM.
